Product Details

The Constellation was once Omega’s flagship model.

A contemporary to the original Speedmaster, Seamaster, Railmaster and DeVille collections, the 'Connie' was an elevated choice, offering Omega's finest, award-winning precision movements with high-concept design execution and materials. Over the years Omega has produced innumerable Constellation models, with a wide variation in case shape and dial design.

Amongst the most desirable dials is the 'Pie-Pan,' known for its close resemblance in dial shape and the ever-useful baking dish — yum!

We rarely find a three-dimensional dial as compelling as these early Omega versions, and this elegant design element has made the Pie-Pan infinitely collectible.

This piece, a Reference 2852-SC, dates back to 1958 and features a rare two-tone configuration. The sloped bezel and stylized lugs are capped in yellow gold while the remainder of the case is fashioned out of stainless steel. Complemented by a multi-faceted, signed yellow gold crown, this piece features a stainless steel snap caseback with the ‘Constellation’ medallion at its center, as well as a ‘WATERPROOF’ signature.

Its satin silver dial has turned into a lovely champagne tone and features applied indices, quadrant numerals, a luminous, gold dauphine handset and of course, the Constellation star emblem. Powered by the Omega Calibre 505 self-winding movement, this piece is outfitted on an Analog:Shift Laika Black II leather strap with a matching gold tone pin buckle.

If you’re looking for a vintage dress watch with a hint of sporty elements, few are more stylish, iconic or better built than a Connie. A two-tone case paired with a Pie-Pan dial from one of the recognizable names in the biz — that sounds like a stylish package that's pretty hard to beat.
